Max's Farewell Fund

Hello friends and loved ones.  Thankfully, many of you who are reading this paragraph right now means we have at some point formed a beautiful friendship/connection over this crazy little thing called life!  And I want to first thank you for stopping by,

For those of you who don't know me my name is Max Vokhgelt, I am 24 and live in Columbus Ohio and on the 3rd of February 2014 and; after 3.5 years off of chemo; I had a relapse of my Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Up until this point, even though I had not finished school, all throughout 2013-2015 I was completely financially independenent, had an upward moving job at a start-up company, and even started working towards paying my debts back for my first round of treatments which were all laid upon me when I turned 18.  No easy feat for someone who beat a cancer, a bilateral stroke on both sides of the brain, and pancreatitis twice.

Current Status as of 3/1/16:
The amount of chemo already present within my body combined with the added recent chemo was too toxic and it caused a v-fib/tach.  What that basically means is that the top of my heart was running at 900 beats/s and the bottom was running at 400 beats/s.  This caused a complete stoppage of my heart which required 2 shocks followed by 10 minutes of compressions to return back to normal.

This was a very frightening experience for me and has led to over 2 and 1/2 months of inpatient hospitilization.

As you can see, my finances have been draining pretty quickly right off the bat.

Goals for this Year

But as anyone who has ever met me  knows, I can push on through adversity and still strive towards my goals.

This is where I look to you, my friends for help.

Any and all money given to this page will be used directly for the following usages:

Rent
Tuition at Columbus State for Gen Eds
Food for Chemo
Hospital Bills
Payment for the new T-cell therapy that we are participating in

Before this most recent relapse, my plan had been to get back to OSU to finish a degree based on Statistics and Economics.  If all goes according to plan, I still plan to receive my degree by 2017.

So my friends I greatly appreciate any and all kinds of assistance you can offer, even sharing to multiple friends.
