Hello world! We are Shawn and Matt of Team Canadastan, and we’ve decided to attempt the infamous “Mongol Rally” for 2018! http://teamcanadastan.com/
What is the Mongol Rally? We’re driving from London, England, the Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in under 30 days! Not only that, but we’re buying a trash car from England, giving it a nice spray paint, and hoping it’ll stay together for the 18 country, 13000 KM journey.

The rules of the Rally are simple:
1. You can only take a farcically small vehicle of 1 litre or less (2000 Nissan Micra is our goal!)
2. You’re completely on your own
3. You've got to raise £1000 for charity (about $1700 in CAD)
If you’re wondering what your money is going towards (all in CAD):
The first $850 is going towards Coolearth, a charity that is working to halt rainforest deforestation. https://www.coolearth.org/
The second $850 is going towards Food Banks Canada. Every month, hundreds of thousands of Canadians need to access the food banks in order to survive. 36% of these people were children and youth. As a dad, this stat really resonated with me. Anything we can do to make it so fewer children go hungry is our goal! https://www.foodbankscanada.ca/
*We will be recording the entire trip. Dashcam, gopro, vídeo camera, drone, beautifully-ish edited videos etc. It will be posted on YouTube, and shared across all major social media platforms. So if you decide to give enough to become an official sponsor, we will include a decal with your company name on the car, as well as our Rally team t-shirts! If you have a specific product you’d like us to include in our adventures, we can accommodate that! If you just want us to talk about your company, can do as well.
