This past Monday night, Samantha Watson fell 3 stories to the concrete from her apartment window in Lewiston, Maine.  What happened is still unknown but she was brought by lifeflight to Boston General around 3am Tuesday morning.  She has suffered severe internal and external damage.  Bleeding of the brain and liver, they found an aortic aneurysm which required surgery to repair it, broken pelvis and ribs, collapsed lung, face, chest and head trauma.
Even with heavy medication her brain pressure needs to stay below 20 and it has been steady around 25.  It is swelling and not getting enough oxygen, which means the less oxygen the more brain damage.  They have medically paralyzed her in hopes to let her body calm down enough and stop fighting what is happening. She has developed pneumonia from the ventilator but they are able to treat this.
Right now the family needs to stay close by to be able to make medical decisons since both of her sisters are her proxy.  They are staying in a hotel right down the street but are paying $180.00/night.  The goal of $1000.00 is to give the family enough money to stay by her side through all of this.  Thank you for everyone's prayers, love and support <3

UPDATE!!! We still are not sure of things and as good as what I am about to say sounds we are not out of the woods yet but it is progress and just what everyone pulling for sam has been waiting for! Keep praying!! So we went to see Sam and tuck her in at 9pm, when we arrived her new nurse (who is amazing) told us Sam has had a few mild seizures so they put her back on a very low sedation. If they worsen they will give her a seizure med, but for now they are trying to see as much reaction as they can after such a heavy medicated week. With that said the AMAZING NEWS: Her right pupil which was slightly dialated remains the same but herleft pupil is now reactive to light!! This tells us her swelling is getting better! we do not know how much brain function she has yet but here is more hope: As a mild pain test they do something called a nail bed pressure test this is when the nurse pushes down against her thumb where her nail meets her skin, try it its uncomfortable and your brain tells you you don't really like it. So when tested sam's right arm flinchs!! Even better she pulls her who left arm at the elbow back!!!! The same test is done on her feet, and both legs react by pulling away and bringing her knees up!!!!!! This tells us sam is not paralized!!! (I'm crying sorry for fumbled words)all this news prompted us to hold her hands and really start talking asking her to try to squeeze our hands, when missy touched her left hand her fingers twitched even flexed a bit, I told her I was going to paint her toe nails and her bottom lip twitched and her neck as well, small movements but we have seen nothing at all since her fall! Kim held her right hand and afer small twitches she again flexed her fingers. She has not reacted to the verbal asking of things, but our touch is deffinatly stimulating her, the nurse said these were NOT SIEZURE movements!!! We understand that even with this amazing and still small reactions there could be huge hurtles ahead or even still a conclusion to all of this that we all hope does not happen, but this is a step forward a sign everyone has been praying for, I am staying realistic but what a joyful night are hope is restored and we are all behind Sam on this tragic but eye opening road ahead. She is going for a CT scan tonight as long as her temp stays controled and seizures at bay....I love you all and thank you thank you and I believe we have a mirical on our hands! I am going to bed to rest for a big day tomorrow.
