Zhen Xu is a PhD student at Louisiana State University, working under the direction of Dr. Y. Jun Xu in the School of Renewable Natural Resources. Zhen and his ex-roommate had a serious car accident a few miles away from the I-10 Bridge in Baton Rouge on Sunday, March 6, 2016. A drunk driver driving the wrong way on Interstate 10 ran into their car. Zhen was badly injured, and faces a long road to recovery. The doctors are still keeping him sedated in the hopes of speeding the healing process.
Zhen’s parents and wife (married March 2, 2016) arrived in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. The money raised in this campaign will be used to help them pay for travel and living expenses. I can’t imagine the pain his family is going through, and there is not much I can do to help with his recovery. However, with your help, we can at least help Zhen’s family a little bit financially.
Zhen has been a good friend to me for almost three years. He is always there whenever I need his help. I am trying to do the same thing for him. No matter how much money I raise, I will be grateful to anybody who is able to help.
