Carolina’s Last Feat against Cancer!

Donation protected

On Tuesday November 21st, 2017 I was diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I had symptoms that finally took me to the ER with my body telling me something was very very wrong.  One never expects to be affected by cancer whether it be a friend, partner, or family member let alone your own self. Most of you personally know me and have seen the battle I have been fighting with cancer this year. I Just recently had surgery for my Thyroid cancer this Thursday 9/12/18 The journey I have had has been one of many struggles and strength. So many of you showed me much love, compassion, and care throughout this battle and I will truly never forget it. I finished chemo end of May with my Hodgkins Lymphoma in full remission although some of you may not possibly know within my last cycle my doctor informed me they found cancer in my Thyroid. I felt devistated, how could I have more? I have had a full thyroidectomy neck dissection surgey with radiation and hormone therapy in a couple months after finishing chemo for my body to handle the next feat, and that time has now come but you know what I’m still here pushing foward! Chemo is difficult to understand at times. I “look normal” but internally I feel twice my age. It has left me with not only a week immune system and torn body, but with nuerothapy/nerve damage in my feet which makes it hard for me to even do simple tasks at times. It is unknown what permenant damages will procede. I tough it out so I too can enjoy life as much as possible although working a regular job 40 hours a week seems unfathomable at this time so I create my jewelry as a means to cope, but even that doesnt always cover all my day to day life bills. I will eventually get to an even better place after all of this, but today I do ask you again for any help you can give in this last feat of my battle. We’re almost there!!! Anything, everything, it ALL helps my family and I could get through this a lil better. Rememer what is today is not tomorrow, life is transformation and support one another truly. Compassion goes a long way in this life, and I am a warrior continuing on my path.
