Close to midnight on February 23rd, 2014, the lives of many people changed forever.  Javan "Jay" Robinson, the love of Katelyn Kagans' life and soon to be father of Jordan, their son due to be born any day now, was tragically killed.  Jay, after working that evening, came home and decided to walk to the local supermarket for a snack for himself and Katelyn as he often did.  While standing on the side of Rt. 46 waiting to cross the road, he was hit by a drunk driver and killed instantly.  Needless to say, Katelyn and all of Jays family and friends are devastated.  We will all miss Jay and his fantastic personality.  As many people have said, Jay had a way of lighting up the room.

Katelyn and Jay were so incredibly excited to welcome their son Jordan into their lives.  Katelyn's facebook page shows hundreds of pictures and videos of them both enjoying Katelyns pregnancy and the excitement was contagious.  Sadly, Katelyn now only has those pictures and her memories.

Katelyn needs all of our support.   Not only did she lose the love of her life, she also lost the financial and emotional support of the father of her child.  Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated as Katelyn starts her journey as not only a new mom, but because of the careless decisions of a stranger, a single mom.

It is very sad that Jordan will never have the priveledge of knowing Jay, his daddy.

I was sitting here thinking about you guys so I decided to see how the fund raising was going. I was touched and amazed to see how many people, not only donated, but also shared the link on their facebook page!!!! It really restores my faith in humanity!!! The only way to get through such a sudden, tragic loss is for us to all join together and unite and, it's apparent, that there are many people, friends and strangers alike, who truly care!!!! It is through this caring, sharing, and just being there, with and for Katelyn and Jordan, in whatever capacity we can, that they will slowly begin heal and work toward a "new normal." I truly pray that The Good Lord will wrap His healing hands around all of you and guide you in the right direction! All my love, Caroline

Katelyn, my heart is deeply saddened by the loss of your fiance. I remember you fondly from Stony Brook kindergarten. Your baby is beautiful, and I wish you a lifetime of love with that precious boy. Mrs. M.

Stumbled upon this on facebook after Robyn Dickinson shared it and it really hit home. My Fiancéé gave birth to our son 2 weeks ago and it was the happiest moment in my life, I'm so sorry that your man has been robbed of that feeling.

Katelyn (and Krystal) - I'm so sorry that this had to happen to you and your family. If you need anything, please do not ever hesitate to ask. You have all the support in the world and should never ever feel alone.
