Help for Bella

This is very hard for me to do as I am a prideful man and not the type of person who asks for help.  However, when my children are involved and have no other options I must put my pride aside and do what I must to help my little girl. I love her more than anything on this earth and would do anything to get her healthy again.  My 10 year old daughter, Isabella, has been diagnosed with PANDAS, a debilitating disease where her immune system attacks her brain.

Two summers ago, out of nowhere, she began to physically, emotionally, and mentally break down due to what we now know is PANDAS.  I watched my beautiful, smart, outgoing, caring, and loving little princess begin to change in all aspects of her life.  From the outside looking in, people would never know what our family has gone through and how Isabella has fought daily with the internal deterioration that is happening inside her brain and body.  Isabella does her best to cover up her issues in public, only to release her frustrations at home.  It is a very difficult and an emotionally taxing situation for our family.  My wife has had to deal with the worst of everything but has never left Isabella’s side even when things are at their worst.  Jen has shown patience, compassion, support, and unconditional love.  She has been Isabella’s number one advocate and gone to the ends of the earth to find a diagnosis.

After nearly two years of doctors, specialists, NIH trials, medicines, tests, fever logs, therapies, and surgery we finally got a diagnosis after waiting 6 months to see one of the best pediatric neurologists in the area.  The great news is Isabella can get better by receiving an IV treatment of Rituxan.  Unfortunately, the treatment is not covered by insurance and everything must be paid out of pocket.  The treatment will cost $28,000.  This is an amount we just don’t have, or I would not be on here asking for help.

My family lives our life as humble, selfless people who do all we can to give back to our community.  I am a prideful man standing at the edge with nowhere to turn.  If you have the means and can help us in any way I will be forever grateful.  All I want is my little girl be healthy again.

Thank you,
