GO Linda GO

Hi Friends!

Thanks for making it thus far and showing an interest to support Linda's quest to make it to Tokyo!

As some of you already know Linda is a world class wrestler with an amazing resume and list of accomplishments, dating back to when she was in grade 8. Her wrestling success continued when she attended École secondaire L'Essor and Concordia University.  I'll keep this short and not name all her accomplishments during that time because the list is long but should you be really curious we can send the list your way! Linda's discipline is Women’s Freestyle Wrestling at 57kg. 

On September 19, 2019, Linda was crowned “2019 World Champion”, and has since been working towards attending the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. Her plan is to represent Canada with her goal of being on the Podium this coming August.  A lofty goal, however she is a fierce and dedicated athlete and competitor and we won't be surprised to see her do exactly what she's set her mind to.

On March 14, Linda will be competing at the Pan Am Olympic Qualifiers in Ottawa. She needs to place 1st or 2nd in her weight category to punch her ticket to Tokyo. 


Now this is the part where we need your help! We'd like to help Linda ramp up her training to ensure she is as ready as possible for qualifiers by buying her a stationary Keiser bike she can have at home ( https://www.keiser.com/fitness-equipment/cardio-training/m3i-indoor-cycle ). We estimate this bike will cost between 4 and 5k given exchange rate, delivery and customs costs. Any additional funds raised will go to cover some other fitness related expenses as she ramps up her mental, nutritional and physical training regiment.
