Hello Friends, Family, and 757Cravers
Let me first start off by saying I am a very private and proud person and I am having a difficult time posting this but, I have heard it said before that "pride precedes the fall." Unfortunately if I fall other people fall with me and the security of their
dependent families mean more to me than my stubborn pride and what people may or may not think about me. I am raising money to save and strengthen the 757 Crave restaurant .
Recent storms have adversely affected an already limited and delicate balance and I find myself in a very stressfull and time sensitive crisis situation...one that threatens our continuation as a restaurant. First and foremost $10,250 raised is to address an immediate deadline that has to be met by this Thursday November 19th. Secondly the remaining balance gives us some of the necessary means to handle daily operations unhindered and more importantly giving us a little bit of a financial buffer from any other unexpected "storms of life" literally and figuratively speaking.
In the last 5 years 757Crave has had the privilege to help, aid, and serve many great organizations, causes, charitable events, and provided for many individuals in their time of need. 757Crave is a business, but it was birthed to be an extension and realization of my dream and Crave to reach into the 757 communities with compassion through service . In my weird way of thinking it was my way of paying forward the grace and mercy given to me... that somehow, it was a way to maybe feel I have earned such an unmerited gift. I know sometimes life knocks us down with seemingly insurmountable challenges but I have personally witnessed the power of purpose, unity, and numbers. I have seen it time and time again in all of the events we had the opportunity to help in the past few years and it is amazing . A lot of people doing just a little bit adds up to a whole lot of much needed help. Unfortunately this time I find myself on the receiving end and I need to do everything I can to help my loyal team...I love my team.
As I mentioned before, my pride absolutely hates to be in this position but someone said recently, "Rohn, if you are too proud and stubborn to ask for help and you try to do it on your own and fall short... the restaurant closes down anyways, people are still gonna find out. How are you going to deal with it when you have a bunch of the people that know you and love you come out of the woodworks and say ' if only I had known of the situation, I would've helped before it was too late.'" those words have haunted me the last few days and chipped away at my pride. So please, if 757Crave has been a blessing to you and you enjoy our food and service please consider helping us in our time of need.
thank you for your consideration.
