Sign for Santa
Donation protected
Santa Matt is the Santa for all of the "other" children, those that can't go to Santa because of money, age, mental condition. He is a hospice volunteer who has worked with various charities including Salvation Army, Old News Boys, and the Knights of Columbus. He has taken classes for working with Autistic children, wounded warriors and their families. A deaf woman once told him she coaches Santas in Sign so one day her daughter will sit on Santa's lap and he will talk to her in her language. He will probably never meet that little girl. But he has made it his mission that, someday, another little deaf girl will sit with him and he will talk to her in her language. He started classes at Baker College to learn ASL (American Sign Language) but it is very costly and for charitable causes he takes no payment. What money he does earn is used to offset the cost of care and cleaning of his suits or donating to the charities he works with. Santa Matt has figured it will cost $3,000 for tuition, fees and books. Any help is greatly appreciated!
