Puerto Rico is devastated. By now you should all have seen the images, videos and news articles that illustrate how bad conditions are on the island.
Puerto Rico has a special place in my heart for it is the place where my wife and I were born. In addition, my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends still live there … and they are suffering. Every day the situation worsens.
We need your assistance so that we can provide as much aid as possible to as many people as possible. We’re trying to be optimistic and realistic about the impact we can have. But we all know, every little bit counts.
Our aim is to provide resources for my family members to repair their homes, lock them up and catch flights to the US. Here our family members will provide them with shelter, food and basic necessities.
The duration of their stay will depend on the recovery of the Puerto Rican infrastructure. We hope that when electricity is restored, the roads are made passable and they achieve a steady distribution of food and water, that they can then return to the island and restore their lives.
