Please help us support the Funk family after the total loss of their home.  On February 23, 2014 an electrical issue started a fast burning fire that has displaced this family, including their 4 small children.  While they are all safe, this is a tough time especially given the age of the kids.  Your donations will go to help fill some of the immediate/basic needs that the family will have including clothes, toys, etc.

Thank you to all the support that you have shown to the Funk Family. All funds have been transferred to them and your donations were a major help in the initial few days of chaos and great need. God Bless you all for being a part of this campaign!

To answer some of your questions about timing - GoFundMe will release funds in 2-3 days and I will get them to Marshall and Lindsey towards the end of the week. After that, they will do daily payments. The website gets a small percentage of donations for providing the service. Overall, this is the most fair site of its kind with the reach and security to allow family, friends, neighbors and strangers to support the Funks during this time! Thank you all for an overwhelming response in this first day!

Is there still a need for clothes for the girls? I have some, mostly for the youngest but a bit for the older 2 as well. We also have some books and toys to donate.

I have a daughter who just grew out of her 2t things, and I will be getting in touch with one of the people on this list as early as I can this week. Dr. Olsen was my ob for Aurora, and she is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She brought my attention to the family. I want to help in any way I can. Our thoughts are with the Funk family in this time of need and loss.

Even in this hardship it is still possible to know that God is good. God's ways of doing things is very different than what we would do given the same situation. I hope this gives you some help and comfort: "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
