Michele Frechette's ALS Journey

On October 31,  Michele was diagnosed with Progressive Bulbar Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease).   Progressive Bulbar ALS is an extremely aggressive form of ALS with a life expectancy of 1½ years beyond diagnosis.  Sadly, Michele’s body is rapidly betraying her; she is unable to communicate verbally, she is breathing at less than half normal capacity, she falls frequently, her vision is affected, and she is limited in what she can eat because of swallowing issues.  Michele has made her wishes very clear, and will not extend her life by artificial means.

Michele took an unpaid leave of absence in November 2018 and was terminated in January 2019.  Michele's one wish is to leave no medical expenses behind for her family and no costs incurred by them when she passes. I am starting this GoFundMe on Michele’s behalf, to help her with medical bills now, and anything her family may encumber after her death. Whether you are able to donate or not, I know Michele and her family will be grateful for your prayers and wishes for a peaceful passing when the time comes.
