Help Kaylee Fight Brainstem Cancer

The family was on a hike in the woods enjoying God's wonder when suddenly Kaylee started showing almost stroke-like symptoms. The symptoms went away, but returned Friday night. She was rushed to the ER where a CT showed a possible brain stem tumor. She was immediately transported by ambulance to a specialist 4 hours away. An MRI confirmed a - Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) Also called: Pontine Glioma or Brainstem Glioma What is DIPG? DIPG is a type of tumor that starts in the brain stem, the part of the brain just above the back of the neck and connected to the spine. The brain stem controls breathing, heart rate and the nerves and muscles that help us see, hear, walk, talk and eat. These tumors are called gliomas because they grow from glial cells, a type of supportive cell in the brain. This tumor is INOPERABLE! They are trying to get her into St Jude's Children's Hospital for possible treatment or clinical trials. Survival rate is very low. They left their "home" behind when rushing to the specialist. Whether staying where they are or heading to St Jude's, they need HELP!! For starters, gas for driving 4 hours there & back to pick up the RV trailer where all their food and clothes are. As you may recall, they also we're hit by a storm at the beginning of the month which knocked out all their services for 17 days. Any help is appreciated! Whether money or supportive words & prayers for God's comfort for Kaylee and the family. Kaylee has always been the sweetest little girl. She has been my little monkey from the beginning - always jumping around in happiness. She especially is close to her big brother Matthew. She has certainly"lived" more, especially in the last few years, than most of us have in our entire lives. Please share if you can - even if it's just this post.
