Dragons On Tour To Belgium

Kensington Dragons u16's: We are a group of young people from very diverse backgrounds, who have played football together for over five years. Within those years we have worked and bonded together to form close friendships and a united football team. Despite challenging external factors in an inner city environment and personal family issues the team has used football as a constant feature in their young lives. In October 2018, we had a meeting with our team coaches and the Director of the football club. Together we discussed the difficulty we faced this year,in us staying focused for our GCSE's and also continuing to progress as a team. During this meeting with our coaches and Directors we made the decision that we would plan a two year project. This would be rewarded if we obtained two objectives, firstly study, and revise for our GCSE's, whilst engaging and supporting each other through our exams and secondly to get promoted. However not only did we get promoted we won the league within the first year of the project, Which in turn meant that we gained promotion as a team and hit both our targets. In return the club agreed to take the team on a tour to Belgium, where we will train and play games against other under sixteen youth teams within Europe. This is an opportunity for us as players to not only play football, but experience different cultures and build friendships. We are planning to go on tour to Belgium in July after we have all completed our GCSE 's. We have created this page to help fundraise to aid this tour in happening we are asking for a small donation to go towards the travel and accommodation. Thank you for your support.
