Help us keep our School Up and Running

We’re a handful of humble people that have built a school in the outskirts of Cartagena, Colombia with the help of many kindhearted donors. We love to do independent charity projects that goes directly to the people. Our idea was to start a small school in one of the poorest areas in Cartagena, Colombia, where children don’t have resources and the funds to attend to school, mainly because their parents don’t have money for food to buy lunch for the day or transportation. We have a volunteer cook that prepares daily meals for the children.

We have a licensed full time elementary school teacher 2 assistants and also another Part time licensed English teacher. Not only have this helped the children receive an education, but this has also helped them learned an universal language that can highly benefit them in the future for continuing education and for job security (You can only learn English through private funding and it’s very expensive in Cartagena, Colombia). Our school is the ONLY school in a 20Km area creating an education for an entire community.

So why share the story? In order to maintain our school we would need a monthly budget of $2000.00 CAD (Two thousand Canadian dollars) The funds would be used for ongoing expenses like school supplies, one salary for our teacher, lunches and snacks,  diapers, and medicine when needed. Our students also require urgent mental health assistance and therefore we'd love to hire a psychologist to visit weekly. This is a long term project that We are struggling to keep open at the moment and that's why we would love for you to help us.
We’re hoping to keep developing over the years to potentially become a bigger school that will educate up to 200 children, will provide healthcare, mental health and medicine for them and their single mothers. This will obviously require a much larger amount but for now we’re focusing on maintaining what we’ve built together and we trust that donations will continue to come our way so that we can fulfill our mission.
