On February 27th our lives forever changed as the doctors told us Ryan has Leukemia. He had been very tired for a couple of weeks and started to get very odd bruises that wouldn’t go away. A dear friend, who is also a doctor, told us to take him in. We are forever grateful he did. Ryan had an appointment at 2pm and by 5:30pm we were admitted to the Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester and given the diagnosis (ALL - acute lymphoblastic leukemia).
Things have been a blur since then. He has received platelets, and blood, 2-28 he had a port placed, spinal tap, bone marrow draw and he received his first full dose of chemo. We are so humbled and blessed beyond measure by the hundreds and hundreds of messages, texts, and phone calls. We cannot thank you enough for your prayers and your willingness to support. People have asked how they can support financially so this GoFundMe page was set up. Everything donated will go towards the care and well-being of Ryan; hospital bills, medical supplies after discharge, prescriptions, and other expenses.
