Vicki's Recovery Fund
Early Christmas morning, our good friend and Missouri Valley softball teammate, Vicki Varner, was in a serious car accident in her hometown of Spotsylvania, Va. She sustained critical internal injuries and has severed her spine, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down.
Despite being aware of the struggles that lie before her, her positive disposition and sense of humor are still shinning through, letting those around her know that she will get through this. And yet her recovery is sure to be long and extensive, with several surgeries on the near horizon.
To ease some of the financial burden acquired from medical bills, equipment costs, and loss of work by her parents, we are asking for your financial support. We know any donations will be greatly appreciated by her family as they work through this challenging time.
We love you Vicki! #PrayForVicki
The amount of love and support Vicki has been amazing. To see how she touched the lives of so many is such a great inspiration. Vicki has always been my best friend now, she is my hero!! Thank you so much for your donations, words of encouragement and continued prayers.
I all know the feeling all too well. My daughter went through a similar accident coming home from college Dec 2014. She was not paralyzed but had 5 surgeries and wheel chair bound for many months. I pray for you all. Mom stay strong! It is so hard on the caregivers and a mom to see your child this way! Stay positive and you will get through this. As I told my daughter, there is a reason why you are still here and there was an unseen passenger! God bless you and good luck with recovery.
