To know Lyla Brink is to love her. Her smile lights up a room. Her laughter is contagious. She has an energy that draws people to her.
As most of you know, on October 4, 2019 my niece Lyla was in a terrible car accident. She was flown to UC Medical Center for emergency surgery to drain the blood around her brain and remains in their care. She was diagnosed with multiple injuries including a Trumatic Brain injury and was in a coma for two weeks and just recently moved to a “semi-conscious state”. While we are optimistic with the progress she is making, her condition remains critical. She is going to need an immeasurable amount of care and support on her road to rehabilitation and recovery.
