Katy's Fight with Cancer

This is not something I ever thought I would have to do. I'm the person that gives to causes, that's always there for everyone in my life. I used to volunteer at animal friends, and help the local food banks on my days off. Organize donations for cancer walks and condolence cards for team member's at work. And then it happened.
Here's my story.
I had been living with endometriosis since i was very young. I was told it was very unlikely I would have children. I had 2 surgeries to help with the symptoms. Then by some miracle I got pregnant with my beautiful little girl Gwen. She's the best thing that ever happened to me.
After she was born the endometriosis still did not get better. 2 more surgeries later and I was told I can finally have a hysterectomy. During my last physical before surgery I was told I had abnormal cervical cells. Which turned out to be cervical cancer. The doctors said we will take everything out except 1 ovary so you don't have to be on hormones. After the hysterectomy I went through 2 rounds of radiation. I was in the clear!
After all the radiation my stomach was hurting all the time and I couldn't eat. My doctors said it was just a side effect, and it would go away. I complained for months. Finally after more tests I was told I had spots on my ovary. After a biopsy, I found out it was ovarian cancer. I am 30 years old and this is the second cancer I am fighting.  I'm currently going through radiation again. After it's done they will take out the ovary. They are not sure if I will need chemotherapy or not.
I'm still paying off the medical bills from last year. Now I have a whole bunch of new ones. Of course life also has to throw in some curve balls. My daughter needs braces that the insurance will not cover and a couple days ago the refrigerator stopped working.
Anything would be appreciated. For every $25 I promise to volunteer for an hour, when I'm feeling better. Any extra funds will go to Ovarian Cancer awareness and research.
