Help Lexington’s Recovery

As many of you know my best friend Ashley has 2 adorable Min Pin fur babies. These pups have been a part of her life as long as I’ve known her and have become an important part of the Mattei family. Last night Lex took a tumble and could not walk on his own after. The emergency vet at VCA Cheshire immediately sent them to Pieper Memorial to be admitted for observation. This morning Ashley had an over the phone consult with a Neurologist. He believes Lex may have Cervical Myelopathy and recommended an MRI to rule out a stroke vs multiple spinal decompressions. This MRI is essential in figuring out what the best treatment for Lex will be. Of course, as many pet owners, Ashley would do anything for her dogs. The expense of this MRI on top of possible surgery will be crippling as Ashley is pursuing her journey into nursing school and paying her own way at that. I am setting up this page in order to attempt to offset the costs that Ashley is going to be responsible for in order to try and save her fur child and his quality of life. Lex’s sister Phoenix is lost when he is not around. I am not asking for anyone to make a huge donation. Every little bit will help. I am praying that we can help Lexington get better and preserve his livelihood as a member of the Mattei family.Thank you all.Marla
