In the words of Omito Abraham Owour of K5 Village near Homa Bay, Kenya. His Facebook link is https://www.facebook.com/omito.jakomito "The Importance of having a well in the community.  Individuals that regularly engage in daily living activities will greatly benefit from the well. We are a community of 2000. We are catching rainwater and walking long distances or hiring motor bikes in drought. We need a reliable centrally located source of clean drinking water. Older age people will have enhanced levels of well-being. There is a clear role for business. Small house hold per person will benefit as they will have collected water here to water there animals and plants. This will generate income in the community as more product will produce by farmers. More than large number of 10 villages will benefit from the well. They will have safe water to drink. The drought now becoming disadvantage for our villages and the water from the lake is several miles and we can't access it unless you use the water truck which is not possible for the common man in our villages only the rich can manage it. Through the well all farmers, plants animals life will change, as there will be water supplying the whole community with many people coming and getting water. Farmers life will have great life change because this will allow them plant all round season even during drought with thorough mulching and water will help the plant growth.
