Music lessons for foster children

Hi everyone! We are two Austin High students in the Academy for Global Studies. Every AGS student takes CAPSTONE before they graduate, which is a class that focuses on giving back to the community in a completely self-guided and authentic way.
We have chosen to dedicate our time in CAPSTONE to the issue "access to music education." This issue is very important to us because we have both grown up around music and believe that every child, no matter the circumstances, should be able to recieve the benefits that playing an instrument grants. For example, studies have proven that learning to play an instrument can result in higher math scores and increased concentration in school. Besides the joy of playing music, learning to play an instrument can have a much deeper impact in a child's life.
In order to make the biggest impact, we have decided to partner with Kids in a New Groove (KING), a local Austin non-profit that focuses on providing music teachers to foster children. All money donated will go towards strengthening the KING organization and increasing the platform that they have established. KING will use the money for teacher recruitment and music supplies.
Our goal is to directly impact as many kids as possible. With your help, we can provide music lessons to kids who wouldn't normally have that opportunity. This means a whole lot to us, and every dollar helps.
We are also selling T-Shirts, and all profits will go directly to KING.
