Medical Bills & Health Insurance Bill

Donation protected
On November 4th, 2013 Jay suffered a heart attack at work. Initially it was considered minor and the doctor thought he would require just a stint. During the heart test it was found Jay had a 90% blockage. Open heart surgery was the only option.

Jay spent his 37th birthday at Brigham & Womans hospital in Boston. On the next day, November 8th he had a successful quadruple bypass performed by Dr. Ralph Bolden. He was released and a few days later was readmitted after passing out due to low blood pressure in the shower. Jay spent a few more days in the hospital and it was found that the doctors prescribed too high of a dose of his medicines.

His wife Heidi has been out of work since his surgery as well to take care of Jay and their three children: Connor, Emily, and Cooper. It was been approximately 12 weeks of both Jay and Heidi not working and collecting TDI Insurance and Unemployment benefits. Both of which are portions of their salaries.

Needless to say while Jay and Heidi have been out of work for months, their bills have pilled up. Besides the everyday costs of living and raising a family, the medical bills have arrived. Most recently Jay's employer send him a bill for $1100 dollars for his contribution of his health insurance. In the letter they note that if this bill is not paid his family will be dropped from health insurance.

For those of you who can not attend the fundraiser for Jay on March 29th, we have created this gofundme. I am certain he thanks you from the bottom of his heart. I know I do.
