Henderson the kitty

Henderson is a sweet and precious foster kitty who has spent his whole life with the Cat Castle. We found him as a bottle baby, abandoned at about 2 days old, covered with maggot eggs. Henderson survived that, and was a purring, loving, needy baby, even choosing to bottle feed until 9 weeks old! At only 2 months, Henderson survived a Panleukopenia outbreak at the Castle, thanks to our precautions as well as his resilience. He went on to become a healthy, happy kitty, successfully neutered with the ASPCA, SNAP tested neg/neg, and up to date on all vaccines. However, on January 18, out of truly nowhere, Henderson crashed. He was incredibly lethargic, couldn’t eat or move, and began vomiting yellow liquid. We immediately brought Hen to BluePearl Vet where he was quickly hospitalized and put on two separate catheters— one in his leg and one in his neck. He is in septic shock, has experienced drastic weight loss in under 2 days, and quite honestly, his chances are very very slim. We don’t want finances to be the thing holding us back. At the Castle we truly believe if a cat has the will to live AND receives proper medical intervention, any odds can be overcome. He can determine his own will, but we can help with the financial part of his medical needs. Any any donation helps, and we are beyond thankful for anything anyone can give. We expect and are willing to bear the bulk of this bill ourselves, and we are so so grateful for anyone’s kindness!!!
