A Cross Cultural Healing Journey

This appeal is being sent out on behalf of members of the gumatj clan of the yolngu nation.. golitju burrarwanga and kin... golitju is a 77 year old cultural man, a singer and songman for his clan, a maker of spears, woomera and canoes. We are seeking funding to bring golitju to Canberra with support from his family for the purpose of truth telling and healing between all nations.. golitju worked teaching yolngu matha at Sanderson high school for 15 years. He is a traditional man, he has a lot of knowledge to share..They will also be attending heartwork siteworks at the national Christianity and culture centre in Canberra http://heartwoodsiteworks.com.au
He will be bringing with him a touring bus off thirteen people and dancers to perform ceremony at the Aboriginal tent embassy
