family in financial difficulties due to illness

My friend of many years has been left in financial difficulties due to her husband not being able to work because he has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. She has cut her hours at work to help look after him and the government are giving them basically no help at all. They have both worked since the age of 16. They have 2 lovely boys that they cherish and are struggling now financially. Keri is totally mortified that I suggested this and feels embarrassed but to be honest they need all he help we can give them. After speaking to them both we now have an agreement. So if everyone can dig a little in to there pockets and donate that would be great. Let’s help this family get back on to there feet and help with support. Paul has his brain surgery in March and they will have to live up in Aberdeen for a week or so this will help out for petrol and any added extra needed for them. Thank you
