The DeAtley's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hey Everyone!
My name is Jessie Toebbe and I'm a friend and co-worker of both Megan and Brian DeAtley who also have Sawyer, their son who is 15 months. As many of you know by now, Brian had a major stroke on the morning of 7/30 while getting ready for work as an RN at the Christ Hospital. Megan rushed him to the ER at Christ where she and I work together as nurses. Brian was eventually air cared to UC to be followed closely by their stroke team in the neuro ICU. The doctor's there tried several times to remove the large clot in his brain that caused him to loose his ability to speak and move his right side, but they were unsuccessful. However, Brian and Megan are both fighters and the power of prayer is undeniable. Amazingly, Brian walked a few steps today.
Brian still has a long road to recovery, but we are all believing that with continued prayer and the help of the great medical staff at UC, he will get there!
July 30th was supposed to be Brian's last day working as a nurse at the hospital because he was accepted into a highly competive program at the Univeristy of Cincinnati to become a nurse anesthetist. He was scheduled to start in Mid August. It is now unknown when Megan or Brian will be able to return to work and, as we all know, medical bills add up very quickly.
With that being said, we are kindly asking for donations to The DeAtley's Road to Recovery Fund. Any amount is more than appreciated.
Please keep this wonderful family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time. They truly appreciate everyone's love and support.
I will be updating everyone on Brian's progress through this page as they become available.
Thank You All,
Jessie Toebbe
