Hello, this is Sean’s fiancée. For those of you who may not know us, we have been together for 12 years and have three children.
Sean is currently in stable, but critical condition in the hospital following a motorcycle accident on May 17th. He remains sedated and intubated.
Sean was traveling at about 20 miles an hour when traffic in front of him stopped suddenly and the truck directly in front of him veered into the left lane to pass the stopped traffic. Sean wasn’t able to stop himself in time and went through the back windshield of the car.
So far Sean has had surgery for severe pelvic bleeding, requiring them to replace his blood volume 3x over.
Another surgery to place a stent for the aortic dissection he suffered during the crash.
A third surgery during which they repaired the broken bones in his pelvis. During this surgery they also discovered a large hernia in which the fascia was too shredded to repair, and possible blood clots in his lungs.
He usually handles the money and I’m beyond stressed trying to be at the hospital and figure out insurance and paperwork and the future.
The kids and I are needing to come up with mortgage money and grocery money until I can sort out short term disability. I also gave family missing a lot of work to watch my kids so they don’t suspect daddy is hurt. I’d love to help replace some of their financial loss.
We don’t expect anything of anyone, and if you know me, I never ask for help. But I don’t have much choice for our kids.
