Irish Cancer Society

1 in 2 of us will get a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime.  Every 3 minutes in Ireland someone gets a cancer diagnosis.  Every hour some dies from cancer.  Myself, Mairead and Deirdre are raising funds for the Irish Cancer Society by walking 10km in the Woman's Mini Marathon this June.  Deirdre was diagnosised with Ovarian cancer late last year but we are so happy to say that she has come through it and continues on the road to fully recovery.  While we will be walking with many people in our hearts and on our minds, we also have our own special motivations on the day.  Anyone who knows me, knows my motivation for this charity, I will be walking for Breda (and always remembering Sarah Leigh and the battle she fought).  Likewise Mairead's motivations are Mary and Oliver.  Mairead and I feel blessed that we are walking alongside our friend, Deirdre is also one of our biggest motivations.  So guys now its up to you, please support us raise money for this charity which has darken the doors of so many families in this country.
