Nancy’s Determined Recovery From Brain Surgery

On December 9, 2018, Nancy had a brain tumor discovered. About 95% of it was removed less than a week later. After surgery she spent time in a rehabilitation hospital regaining most motor functions of her right arm and leg, which is where we all spent Christmas together. Nancy has been home since and continues to work on speech, occupational and physical therapy. The prognosis for glioblastoma is extremely poor, but we've searched high and low for information and hope. We've talked to a handful of survivors and have tried to find a common thread. Each survivor we've heard of had made significant diet changes removing processed foods and sugars and switching to a very natural, raw diet. In addition, we've been in contact with a biochemist whose life mission is to help people cure or prevent cancer. As a couple examples, he, as well as a family friend, were diagnosed with aggressive terminal cancer, were told to go home to die, and through his developed protocol they are still alive and well over 25 years later. We've also discovered most patients believe chemo and radiation caused more harm than good, and the biochemist has also stated that would be a hindrance to his protocol. Unfortunately, this system is very restrictive and is a complete change in lifestyle, including not only food but also water consumption, breathing exercises, rest and specific supplements, which are not covered by insurance. It is difficult to follow and can be quite frustrating to Nancy whose brain surgery has impaired some of her faculties.

Even with insurance, medical bills are still significant. Numerous out of pocket expenses accumulate and partial-retirement work has essentially ceased.
