Rocky

Tax deductible
Hello to you all. On Saturday November 9, 2019 our animal control officer received a call from a Good Samaritan that said that they found a dog in their bushes and that he was in bad shape. When animal control arrived at the location she saw a very emaciated barely alive dog lying on the ground. She rushed him to the vet's office who started treating him immediately. the staff named him Rocky because they knew he wanted to fight to get better. Because of the severity of his condition, we thought it was best he go to the emergency clinic(VCA) so he could get 24 hour care. We brought him in and when he arrived the staff went to work immediately on him. They used heating pads to warm his body and started fluids. Rocky weighed only 15lbs wen he arrived. He had a 50/50 chance of surviving. If he could make it through the next couple of days, he had a better chance. He had a few seizures along the way, but has been getting meds to slow them down they also said that the xrays shows some abuse. Well each day Rocky has been getting stronger, eating well and yesterday he was able to stand and walk a bit. You can see in the photos, the one lying down is his arrival at the vet and the other 2 are from Monday. The vet said he is doing better and is such a sweet, loveable boy. Because he will need to stay at the ER for a while, Euclid Pet Pals is running low on funds for his recovery. We will do all we can to help him, but we are asking for your help in supporting Rocky and his treatment. Any amount is appreciated and will go toward the treatment of Rocky. Thank you so very much!
