Pat on his feet again

This sums up Pat. Pat is one of the most likeable guys you will ever meet! A natural!  transplanted Canuck who has spent more than 2 decades here in the DR. He has worked very hard to gain the reputation he has...one of the best you will ever see in this world! A few months back, Pat entered into a hospital in Santo Domingo to have his hip replaced. This should by all accounts, be a pretty simple, straightforward procedure. Unfortunately his recovery has not gone well, with numerous infections and with excurciating pain when attempting to stand. He returned to the hospital last week for a re-evaluation. He has been informed that the original replacement needs to be replaced and neither the hospital, doctor nor insurance company will take responsability, leaving the entire financial burden on Pat himself. Unlike back home, the legal angle, is seldom an option. He has not been able to work since mid August and quite frankly, it has become a major burden on him to maintain himself and his young family. We are a tight bunch here in the Dominican Republic! The expat community is always ready to help other expats when the unexpected simply becomes too much. I will be reaching out locally as well as internationally to seek assistance to get Pat back where he belongs! ON HIS FEET AGAIN! A few dollars here and a few dollars there...can help change Pat's situation. All it takes is $10.00 from 1,000 people! I know we can do it!
