Cranial Surgery for Elliot

Just like all family’s experience hardship, my family has found theirs. Our son Elliot was born just shy of 3 months ago. We had complications during delivery which landed him in the NICU for a week. Fortunately we were able to bring him home a happy and healthy baby. To add to our bills, we recently learned our son is in need of cranial surgery. In a 1 in 2000 chance, our son’s growth plates have fused and won’t allow his brain room to grow. This can cause major developmental problems at the very least. We were able to catch this early and through a surgery we can make sure Elliot continues to grow into a happy and healthy toddler. This surgery requires a piece of skull to be removed, and then months of helmet wear to ensure his skull shapes safely and properly. As you can imagine, we are looking at substantial hospital bills.
