I am raising funds to acquire a realistic silicone mermaid tail so I can visit children as a real, live mermaid! I want to bring some magic into the lives of people wherever I go!
A small portion of the funds raised will be used to help purchase items to help me become a better mermaid performer, such as a monofin (bought, thanks to my first donation - shown below with a hand-sewn fabric tail!) and a swim pass to train as a professional swimming mermaid.
I'd love to use my image as a mermaid to bring awareness to ocean pollution, and help teach methods of reducing our waste and fun ways to reuse trash!
As someone who once went through the foster care system, I also want to bring some magic to children in foster care, as well as to adopted children - and I don't think anything could be more magical than a real, live mermaid (except maybe a unicorn)!
