Getting On The Road To Recovery

Donation protected
Hello, I am reaching out today for lack of knowing what else to do. I feel helpless and scared and am clinging to hope that by sharing this story that maybe we will finally get some answers.

I think the hardest thing I have ever faced in life is not being able to help one of my children when they are in need. As a mom, I would take on all the pain, sadness, heartache, worry, etc of any of my kids if I could.

My oldest son, Ethan, has been going through a very hard time for the past two years.  He has been dealing with some very mysterious, debilitating health issues for the past two years. He has put up a brave front and tried his best to keep it from interfering with his daily life, to keep from telling friends and family, and to try to focus on the good things rather than how bad he feels most of the time.

Over the past couple of months, however, it has been taking a much harder and more frequent toll on Ethan making normal daily activity impossible and caused him to miss his last two months of college classes this past semester.

Ethan's symptoms vary depending on the moment and often hit hardest without any warning. They include blurry vision, difficulty breathing, leg and muscle weakness, tension headaches, trouble walking, dizziness, sensitivity to loud noises, and many more.

We have seen several doctors, had heart scans, MRI's, dozens of blood tests run, and have received no answers at all. He is a full time college student and I am a single mother of 6 and he does not have health insurance.  We have exhausted all avenues of healthcare that we are able to afford and have not been able to see any specialists or proceed with further recommendations due to the upfront costs required.

Anyone that knows my son Ethan, knows that he is an amazing young man and the last young man you would expect to hear about suffering with health issues like this.

He is the healthy one in our family lol. He always stayed active, exercised regularly, drank water, ate good, kept away from drugs and alcohol, and  always managed to make the right choices regardless of what anyone else was doing. He is a good person to friends and family and has a kind heart. I just pray that we can get him on the road to recovery and that he can get back to living again. He is only 22 and has his whole life ahead of him. I cannot wait for this nightmare to be over.

I understand that life is hard for everyone these days. I want you to know that no help is too small and help can come in so many ways. Of course there is the monetary one lol, and it is always appreciated, but we also appreciate every prayer, every wish, every kind thought. If you yourself, or anyone you may know, might have access to medical professionals or services that might be of some help that would be amazing. If you know of any programs or facilities that offer free medical care or "pro bono" services, please message me through here or on messenger.

And, PLEASE, after you read this please share this post so that others can see it and can possibly help us along the way. Every share, every prayer, and all other donations are absolute blessings.

My ultimate goal is to hopefully reach someone that will be able to help us in this dark time, and/or possibly raise enough money for Ethan to get the medical attention that he has needed for a very long time now.

Thank all of you so much.
