Shawn's Go Fund Me For Cancer Treatm

This is Shawn Edens and I'm trying to raise money for my cancer treatment. I've been battling this disease for a year now and its devastated me and my family not just mentally and physically but also financially. We have been putting up a heck of a fight but we need ur help to win this. This all started a year ago in September 2017. I was in severe pain at my job on the north slope at milne pt. I was life flighted to providence. There they found a 10.5cm in diameter Mass in my colon. It had perforated into my abdomen. They remove it and resect me. Several days later I my sutures come apart and my colon spills out inside me. I go into sepsis, respiratory failure sets in, I balloon up with fluid, the meds there giving me drip onto the floor from a failed drip bag. I code and am put into a chemically induced coma for two weeks. They have two racks of iv goin into my body. The nightmares while in coma are horrific. I finally begin to heal after dieing a second time in the OR while there cleaning out my abdomen. 11 clean outs ti be exact. As I'm waking up I can hear my wife's voice in the darkness. I wake up asking for her. The next 60 plus days I begin recovery. I'm on respirator, I am learning how to eat, talk, breathe, walk and reuse my left arm again. While in a coma it had gone dead. Still not sure why. If it wasnt fir my wife and my kids I'd not be here. My wife is and amazing women, it's her love that kept me alive and still gives me the power to fight this. My friends Dave Tullos, John Rothbarth, Scott Trent, Mark Hall and my entire fire team who walked into the flames carrying my pic with them, Nuu Uti and his family, Krystle Edens, Charlotte Nelson, Terry, Tammy and Murel Kidd, the Estrada's, John Shore, Patrick, Erik and Lavenia and anyone who came to see me to give me encouragement. I thank u. Through all this I am blessed by God. Some may not see it that way but it's TRUE. My lesson in all this is to be thankful for the moments I have had and do have.
