We Support the Wilcox Girls!

$12,200 of $10k goal

Raised by 255 people in 35 months
Have you ever wondered how much one person can take and still remain standing? Well, the Wilcox girls are a shining example of just how much the human spirit can endure. Faced with the immeasurable loss of their mother, Debbie Wilcox, to a prolonged battle with cancer, followed by the sudden death of their father, Thomas Wilcox, only a few weeks later, and now the loss of their beloved sister Carrie Wilcox, Kelly and Shannon have suffered more pain and tragedy in the past few months than any person should have to deal with in a lifetime. Couple that with funeral and medical expenses in addition to loss of wages from missed work, and you can understand why this is a family in crisis.

Yet even in the face of so much loss, these ladies have been there to support their friends and community members. It's time we show them both that all their past kindness and generosity has not gone unnoticed. Let's show them what community is really about and rally around them.

Kelly, Shannon, and Madison,

We are here for you!

Love,
Kelly, Meagan, Heather, and Jenny

Thank you again to EVERYONE for your continued support! We will keep this page up and open for donations for as long as people are willing to keep contributing.

When Kelly, Meagan, Heather, and I heard of Carrie's passing, we desperately wanted to help in any way we could. Setting up this fundraising page, we never dreamed we would receive the overwhelming response and generosity that has poured in. Over the past week this community has rallied around Shannon, Kelly, and Madison through words of support, sharing their story, and more generous donations than we could have imagined to not only meet our goal of $10,000, but EXCEED IT! What has happened to this family is an awful tragedy, but the response has been beautiful and uplifting beyond words. We know today will be a difficult one for Shannon, Kelly, and Madison, so the timing of meeting this goal could not be better. I speak for all us when I say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts- for every kind word, every share, every donation. Thank you so much, and we hope to continue our efforts to help this family as much as possible as we know they will have many more difficult days ahead.

I feel so blessed to know that there are so many people out there with kind caring hearts. Please share this with everyone you know, reach our goal and beyond, thank you all so much! Do not forget to hug your loved ones and tell them you love then each day as nobody can prepare you for tragedy and it is too difficult living with regret. Take your energy and love and pay it forward as one day, you may need the love bestowed upon you!
