Michael Holloway's Cancer Healing

From the family and friends of Michael Holloway comes an inspiring but very challenging matter.
Michael is in dire need of our help. He is battling cancer and other physical issues (back, shoulder and knee).
He has currently had to:
· give up his apartment and office
· stop working
· confined to a wheelchair to get around
· currently residing in a physical therapy rehab
· daily intensive physical therapy
· soon he will be going through further experimental stem cell cancer treatments
His insurance will soon run out within the month and at that point Michael will be left to his own devices for food, shelter, living and costly medical expenses.
We want to help Michael raise funds to help him get through these trying times.
Inspiration
Michael is a compassionately bright and resilient soul, who reached out with a desire, and commitment, to change the ending to someone else’s life, without knowing what changes were ahead in his own journey.
This past February, Michael read a Facebook post about a woman living in Boston.
Her husband, Nossen Schafer, was seeking help for his wife, Channah Schafer. Channah is in dire need of a kidney donor to save her life. Michael was inspired and willing to act. With great desire and purpose, he began the interviewing process, and the required medical testing at Boston Medical. To his disappointment, he was not an ideal match for Channah. True to Michael's nature, he remained steadfast in his conviction to give of himself to another in need. He asked Tracy Brann Darling, the kidney donor Coordinator BIDMC Transplant Institute (Boston) if he could help someone else awaiting a kidney transplant in the Boston area.
Tracy advised Michael to transfer his records from the preliminary testing done in Boston to SE Florida for practical and logistical reasons. She directed Michael to the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. Michael immediately contacted them, and underwent extensive testing in preparation to be a kidney donor. In early June, results from blood and urine lab work, showed spiked levels of M Protein.
Michael was transferred to the Hematology/Oncology department of Cleveland Clinic. Further blood work labs and a full body x-ray were taken with results indicating multiple myeloma (a treatable but incurable bone marrow cancer). On June 29, 2015 a bone marrow biopsy confirmed suspicions, and the diagnosis of a strong stage 1 multiple myeloma was determined. Thirty percent of his bone marrow has been impacted, accompanied with significant bone lesions throughout his body.
In the interconnectedness of our humanity, a woman in Boston, Channah Schafer, who is in critical need of life saving measures for herself, unknowingly assisted one of her potential donors to begin treatment to save his own.
Michael has been a massage therapist for the last 18 years. He has been improving the quality and functionality of innumerable lives, on many levels, beyond the purely physical. He is a gifted healer. The numerous clients that have come forward to assist Michael in this time of need are a testament to his unwavering mindfulness and compassion towards others.
His treatments began July 14, 2015. Michael is now unemployed due to the effects of this disease, including debilitating bone pain, fatigue and the accompanying headaches.
Michael needs our help to pay his living expenses and the mounting medical expenses especially as insurance is ending.
