Feed Oahu

Alohaaaa, so I’m trying to raise $1600 to buy this food service van in order to launch a non profit food drive big enough to tackle Oahu’s rising homelessness. When a person is homeless, preparing a nutritious cooked meal to start and end a good day is nearly impossible. My goal is to provide exactly that for the men women and children in need of it most. I currently volunteer with The Private Sector Hawaii, better known as “the purple van” who delivers food boxes on the north shore every week. While volunteering and communicating with Aloha Harvest we came to the consensus that the surplus of rescued produce needed to be put to a good use. What better way than cooking it up ourselves and making it accessible to those in need of a meal!? As a culinary student I see this as an opportunity to share apart of my love and support through food. I personally have contributed $100 towards this gofundme and hope this page falls into the hands of the special kind of individual who feels as strongly for feeding Oahu as I do.
