Justice for Mah-hi-vist
$5,263 of $6,500 goal
The homicide of Mah-hi-vist Goodblanket (age 18) on December 21, 2013 in Custer County Oklahoma has raised and continues to raise concerns across Oklahoma and nationwide. Mah-hi-vist (Red Bird) Goodblanket, 18 year old Native American was shot seven times with one of those shots being to the back of his head. He was killed in his parents home that horrific Winter Solstice evening.
Mah-hi-vist had been diagnosed with a mental health disability as a youth. On the evening of December 21, 2013, during a mental episode the family called 911 for assistance to calm the situation. After officers arrived, never assessing the situation, entered the home and killed Mah-hi-vist!
The family continues to seek justice for Mah-hi-vist and realize that what happened to him in 2013, has continued to happen at record numbers across the Country. This type of atrocity should not occur anywhere.
"It is our intention to keep working toward creating the "TRUTH" to surface in the case of
Mah-hi-vist , to rebirth integrity, compassion, honor and respect for all "LIFE". Any gifts you may contribute will fund efforts for Truth and Justice and the devotion to initiate change. Blessings to each of you". Melissa Goodblanket, Wilbur Goodblanket and
Today we renew our efforts and begin again on the path of Truth and Justice. 8/5/2016
We were able to fund forensic experts who now have DNA and crime scene reconstruction completed. We are now focused on the funds for the DNA lab. We are so grateful to everyone far and near who have contributed to our effort in seeing the real "TRUTH" surfacing.
Please help us in raising 4000.00 more to pay for the lab testing of samples in waiting.
Please continue to work with your communities in supporting the changes necessary in stopping police violence and continue to meditate and pray for all those who have suffered by such acts of violence. RISE.....
THE TIME IS NOW!!!! Let us all RISE UP in one voice to end the continued acts of genocide against life.
Our family stands firmly rooted in the guidance of the Universe to join multitudes in one voice to stop such acts across our marvelous "Blue Planet", Earth. We are grateful to each one who donates or offers any encouragement in the arena of creating a peaceful more nurtured and compassion filled environment infused with mutual respect and honor.
Blessings of a "Beauty way of Life" to all.
May you never experience such atrocity.
We can not express in words what this experience is like. Though in the beginning of this update, I expressed this experience as relating to the three of us. ( of course the intensity of being in the center directly effects the three of us) A larger purpose of the senseless death of our son belongs to all people every where and most importantly what we do as human beings today through our choices will directly effect the course of the future and the generations that are yet to come.
Though our story remains in the shadows of National media. Other cases across this Nation receive National attention. These paramilitary tactics and lack of appropriate training are vividly becoming pandemic. While the media encourages our thoughts to look outside the Country and atrocities elsewhere...I encourage those who read this to realign your focus to your local communities, look at your children and grandchildren and think about what kind of environment the young ones and those unborn will grow up in. We stand in gratitude to all who have reached out to us through art, donations of time, fundraising, music, compassionate words thoughts and deeds.
To date the State of Oklahoma are unwilling to release our case file. ( seems un constitutional) Specific to the local DA office and the OSBI. Our OSBI investigation took place out of Weatherford Oklahoma with Joe Ferraro being the lead investigator.
To add salt to our wounds the State of Oklahoma Sheriffs Association awarded the two named shooters awards of valor in the shooting death of our son. This is an atrocity in itself. I ask what type of people accept such award?
To achieve resolve we need monetary needs met to move forward. Again thank you all for witnessing me at this time and thank you for all of your support

Wish I could do more than share this on fb, but I'll be talking to the Gentrification Board (development corporation) if I don't put a new roof on my casita - and running water, too. (I thank G_d the rains fall into the water barrels of the rich and the poor alike. ) I do look forward to learning of your work to reform the police, and , especially the mental health agencies, with which I have much experience.
