Service Learning Trip to Puerto Rico

Donation protected
Hello!
We are a group of Somerville High School students going on an service learning trip to Puerto Rico.

This trip will include visits to historical San Juan, volunteer work at various locations, excursions to Native American cultural centers, and visits with community leaders and activists to discuss issues ranging from the impact of  Hurricane Maria to Puerto Rican statehood.

As you can imagine, this is an exciting opportunity for any student, but a number of them cannot afford the entire cost of the journey. For many of these teens, this will be the first time they have ever traveled out of state.

We hope to raise $20,000 by January 1, 2020 in order to make this trip a reality for 25 Somerville High School students.  Please be as generous as you can. Any amount that you can donate will greatly increase the chance that our students will be able to take advantage of this opportunity.

$2500 allows you to sponsor a student’s entire trip
$1250 will pay for ½ of a student’s trip
$500 covers non-air transportation
$100 will cover all room and board for one day
$50 will cover one night’s stay in a shared room
$15 will pay for one student's lunch in Puerto Rico

We hope you can be part of making this happen!
