Cottonwood Elementary "Non-A-Thon 2016"
This year the Cottonwood Elementary PTO has decided to take a different approach to our fundraising. We aren’t going to ask you to bake, order, sell or run for funds. We are just going to ask for it!
We can all agree that our children’s education is of utmost importance to us. After all, that's why we send our kids to school. Reading is the foundation of ALL learning and Cottonwood uses the AR (accelerated reader) program to help motivate the kids on that road to success. Due to budget cuts at the district level, in order for Cottonwood to keep this program, we will need to pay for it using our own funds. It’s imperative that we do everything possible to keep AR as the benefits our children receive are immeasurable. Not only does our school have a need to keep AR we also need other items to support our school as a whole.
Here are just a FEW of the things your donations will help provide.
*Grants for our teachers to provide new and exciting things for YOUR child’s classroom
*AR program available to grades 1-5
*Chromebooks (laptop) for each classroom
*Tablets for classrooms
*Technological upgrades
*New Playground Equipment
*If we reach our goal of $10,000.00 Mrs. Rooks and Brinkly will dye their hair Purple!
*The 15 students who raise the greatest amount of money will win a Limo ride and lunch with Mrs. Rooks!
*Top 2 fundraisers from each class will win a prize!
*Every child who participates will be entered to win an extra recess for their class!
The benefit of using "Go Fund Me" is you can now SHARE the link with ALL your family and friends!! No matter where they live all they do is simply click on the link and donate using any form of payment! It's that simple! Please, Please, Please spread the word and let's reach our goal! Any amount is helpful. We can do it if we all participate! Let's help make Cottonwood the BEST it can be!
**In order for the student to receive credit for your donation PLEASE comment their name in the comments box along side your donation. IF you choose to donate anonymously OR do not want to comment with the students name, then kindly contact us letting us know the amount given and which student should recieve credit!
***There is no other way to track the funds given by family and friends that help participate in honor of your child so PLEASE make sure you let them know to comment or send an email!!!!
