WW2 veteran needs a lil help

Donation protected
I am starting this for my grandfather. His name is Amador Barbosa.  He is a 97 year old WW2 veteran that survived the first wave or Normandy Beach and he's probably the kindest and most selfless man I have ever met. He adopted me when I was 2 and raised me the best he could. He has always been a hard working and generous Catholic. Hes always been active in the church and attended regularly until his legs started getting bad and was an active member in the VFW and even prepared a special service for soldiers to honor thier memory and gives the grieving family a framed paper with the picture of a poppy to keep as a memorandum of the sacrifices they made. He just lost his wife of almost 50 years and has been staying with me since October. He owns a house in Kansas City, but unfortunately cant live there due to the steep steps up to the door and foundation and mold problems. We have made several attempts to repair and add a ramp, but theres just so much we could do. I want him to be happy and comfortable so I've moved him in with me but I am renting a very small place with a gravel driveway and tiny hallways and the tub is too hard to lift him into without help but the landlord don't want to change to accomidate and I'm a single mom so moneys tight. He even raised my rent for adding another person to the lease. We aren't able to sell his house because theres people that have moved themseves in and have torn up what we had already spent so much time and money fixing. He's out over $14,000 in repair work putting on a new roof and adding a room and replacing floors and carpet and we're working with a lawyer to get the people out but It's taking so long and we will not be able to move him back there anyways. So what I would like to do is come up with enough money to find him a handicap accessible place. Nothing fancy. Just big enough to use his walker to get around and a shower instead of a tub and paved driveway without stairs. I promised him I wouldn't let him go to a nursing home as long as I am able to care for him. He's just been through so much lately and deserves to be happy and comfortable. He has been praying for a miracle a lot. I appreciate anything one can offer... Even if thats just a prayer. Thank you so much for reading this.
