Homeless Of Louisville KY

I recently met some amazing people who happens to be homeless and it completely changed the way I saw life. These people are father's, mother's, sister's and brother's and even veterans that gets little to no benefits at all, who just happened to be put in a very bad situation and have no choice but to live on the streets. These people have feelings just like the rest of us and were just one pay check away from being homeless. I took it upon my self with my husband's help of course to live as homeless for a full week and educate myself about this. I used to think that the money homeless people asked for on the corners was being used to buy alcohol or even drugs. The reality is that they are just trying to survive day by day. Some people beg for money to simply rent a hotel overnight and share the room with other homeless. Some just use it for food. I would like to help those people who struggle daily, specially now that winter is approaching. I intend to get blankets, toiletries and food bags and deliver them to shelters and even to those who sleep on the streets.
