Justice For Chance

My daughter and her friends were walking my dog Chance on Tuesday July 10th....she has walked him just fine before. Note: My dog was on a leash so we were following the law. A neighbor from you the street allowed her 1 year old to run up to a dog they didn't know (my dog) and get in his face and personal space. (Number 1: no child or an adult should ever approach a dog they do not know, that's common sense.) My dog let off a warning and nipped her in the face (I say nipped because there wasn't even any blood, lady says there was but there was no blood anywhere on my dog, I mean, he's white I would have seen it) she filed a complaint on us and is trying to deem my dog dangerous because of her stupidity, negligence towards her child in allowing her daughter to do something she should have known better as a parent! I've taught my daughter to NEVEE approach someone else's animal if you do not know the animal! It's common sense! We had to turn my dog over to animal control. He's in quarantine for 10 days to make sure he doesn't have rabbies (he just got a 3 year rabbies vaccine so he's good to go) and after that 10 days they are going to euthanize him because he was deffending his own space! That lady was in the wrong! I have two kids ny self, one being a 1 1/2 year old and my dog hasn't attacked either of my children or people that just walk in my house that he knows! We are raising funds because if I call animal control and tell them I change my mind (I have till July 20th) we will go to court (which we will anyways because this dumb lady still signed the complaint even though we turned over our baby) and she had him deemed dangerous. For why when it was her own stupidity that caused all this because she was acting as a crappy parent, that is not my dogs fault! He shouldn't die for that! So we go to court and if the judge knocks him down from dangerous to "potentially dangerous" here where all the fees come in: Court costs, we are gonna have to rebuild our fence, build a dog pen INSIDE the fences in yard ( stupid I know) and then every time chance goes outside (evin in the pen inside the fenced yard) he is to be muzzled! (This plangers me a lot, all because a mother was stupid to let her child do something she shouldn't have been doing) on top of animal control has to come out 4 times a year to inspect our fence and that's gonna cost us 200.00 plus when we can get our baby out of the pound, it's gonna cost almost 500.00 to get him out! Yeah pay money for them kidnapping my dog! Please you guys, my baby shouldn't have to die because of someone else's stupidity!!!! I have till July 20th to call the pound and tell them not to kill my baby! He was born here in my home, I'm the first person he saw and I saved him from parvo!!!! He shouldn't be going g out like this, it's not fair to him or my family! Our hearts are breaking! If you can't help, please share! We followed leash law and no person (no matter what age) should ever get in a dogs face because an animal will deffend themselves!!!! #JusticeForChance!!!!!
