Lombok, Indonesia Earthquake

When David & I were sailing in Indonesia in 2015 we decided to do a three day hike up Mt. Rinjani in Lombok. Our guide, Jamal Udin, was amazing!! He made the trek so great!! To summit the mountain we had to wake up at about 1am and start the trek to make it by sunrise. Needless to say after 2 full days of very strenuous trekking my legs just wouldn’t move anymore. Jamal sat with me half way up the mountain and made me a fire (it was pretty chilly!!) while everyone summited and made their way back down. Although I wasn’t able to make it to the top the sunrise view from half way was still pretty amazing. Jamal helped me during one of the most physically difficult times in my life and now I would like to help him & his family.

They have lost everything in the recent earthquakes in Lombok, Indonesia. His family is sleeping in tents and are struggling to even get food and fresh water. Please donate to help this sweet family during such a devastating time!!
