Ashton is almost 11 years old and has spinal muscular atrophy.This is a a disease that affects his physical body only and not his intellectual capabilities.
Ashtons replacement wheelchair is FINALLY being ordered!Only 15 months after it was scripted..
Problem is,NDIS is still not going to fund the light kit for it.The supplier has graciously ordered it anyhow and I have 6 - 8 weeks to find the money to pay for it..
Ashtons therapists and I believe this is a necessary addition to his wheelchair to help keep him and others around him safe at night.
We're looking to the community to help us with funding this to help light up his life and get the light kit he needs to make sure his wheelchair is suitable to see him into his teenage years.
