Her quality of life has decreased tremendously. Increase in all med to help her maintenance as much as she has access to.
This is an incredibly difficult time for the family from the East to Colorado.
Please, make sure to connect with her husband Ryan. He is easily overlooked although is has the hardest task.
Please be aware the household is down to one income with expenses for two plus. Medical even with insurance is expensive, maintaining a dying person brings special needs and support. Ryan is working full time, to then home and care take Joyce as well.
Our family is so grateful for all your love support and generous contributions.
Any amount is greatly appreciated.
Thank you from the Garcia's & Palmer's
Joyce is now in home hospice care. Currently the Dr has considered her not stable enough for treatment.
Our goal is to keep her happy and pain free.
How you still can help. Check in on Ryan, offer to cook a meal.
Right now Joyce's pain is being managed with the help of medical cannabis. This gives her relief with minimal or no side affects.
We are accepting donations in that area since she does not have a red card.
Good news no cancer in bones or pancreas.
Iron deficient and anemic. Have an iron injection Monday.
Waiting on radiology to schedule liver biopsy.
Looking at a clinical trial and now a matter of more test to see if I qualify for a targeted and immune therapy .
Trying not to panic at all the listed side affects.
Hoping with the next week or so to start treatment.
This is a great time for everyone who asked how they can help.
Food prep, light house keeping, company as I will be home bound .
Feel free to come by and visit.
Tomorrow, I receive my port. Watched a video on what's going to happen and what to expect. Getting a port is no joke.
Wed, is a follow up CT with contrast. This is to see any changes or spreading.
Waiting to hear back from scheduling regarding the liver biopsy.
As I know more, I'll be sharing.
