#ForTheLoveOfTeachers Gift Cards

Hi! My name is Kristen, and I am trying to raise money to send gift cards to some very well deserving teachers. Seeing a couple of friends leave the profession and seeing all of the teacher walkouts around the country, without much action from legislators, it has made me very sad to see the current attitudes toward educators. I thought of this idea to raise some money to gift some teachers with gift cards to get their school year started. I usually spend about $500 each year to “renovate” my classroom and make it welcoming to students. I know there are teachers everywhere who are not as fortunate to have supportive school districts, and end up buying many basic necessities for students — and even sometimes food for them. Your donation will go directly to a gift card to help fund a teachers classroom. I will have a post on my Instagram (@therealmisscrispy) where I will have friends (anyone really) nominate a deserving teacher and tell a story of why they are a life changer.
